Intentional Futures is excited to announce the launch of its new AI Education Collaborative, dedicated to advancing the ethical and effective integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in the education sector. This initiative aims to collectively empower educational leaders, EdTech companies, funders, and organizations to harness AI's potential and build technology that, rather than replicate what isn’t working in our current system, innovates what a liberated educational experience for schools and students could be.
As AI continues to evolve, its potential to transform educational operations, enhance student outcomes, and drive systemic change has never been greater. Despite this, developers and educators continue to work in reactive siloes, trying to catch up to the potential and future of meaningful AI technologies and their service to, not education’s service of, what’s possible. Intentional Futures' AI Education Collaborative seeks to bridge this gap by convening thought-leaders on the edge of these questions, freeing ourselves from the binary “AI is good or bad,” and embracing this moment to re-envision what school could be. Through this initiative, iF will center around key questions; provide consulting, technical assistance, resources, and field-building initiatives; and convene practitioners and funders to improve their impact, advance research and development, and co-create a ‘north star’ for education and technology across the field.
This initiative is a call to action: for existing clients, new partners, and collaborators who want to use this moment to lead the way and create meaningful, mission-aligned change.
The AI Education Collaborative builds on Intentional Futures' role as a leader around impact-focused AI in the education sector, including collaborations with organizations like Microsoft, the Gates Foundation, and AERDF. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to intentionally build innovative AI futures that re-imagine what’s possible for all.

Intentional Futures is a strategy and design studio that works with visionary leaders to solve hard problems that matter. We believe that by empowering practitioners to drive their own data and evidence building while also strengthening the surrounding ecosystem, we can increase the number of effective solutions in the education sector and scale them faster—ultimately producing stronger, more meaningful, and more equitable outcomes for students and educators.
